Sophie Countess of Wessex yesterday paid a visit to the
TA at Gilesgate in Durham
City to meet and greet family
members of soldiers serving abroad.
Executive catering services were asked to provide
catering for the royal visit that nearly didn't happen
due to the strong winds.
The Countess of Wessex was due to arrive at 15.15pm
but was delayed by one hour the strong winds prevented
the Countess from flying and she had to travel by train
to the North East area ultimately missing other
appointments.
Upon her arrival the Countess unnecessarily apologised for her delay and quickly started to engage with eager family members chatting to each person one by one in the room.
The event was organised by Peter from Durham TA; Peter asked for us to provide the following food
20 x finger buffet menu 12
20 x finger buffet menu 13
20 x finger buffet menu 14
20 x finger buffet menu 15
1 savoury item from
finger buffet menus 13 and 15 to be replaced with dessert
Tea and coffee with waitress service
